Creating a Reservation

Updated over 6 months ago

Creating a reservation is almost the same process as creating a booking. First, click on the "New Booking" button from the dashboard.

The following screen will open. Unlike a regular booking, the start date must be a future date, as a reservation is a future booking. In this example, on March 1st, we select a start date of March 3rd. We are making the reservation for two days.

Next, select the correct vacation address for the guests.

Then, enter the customer details of the potential guest. Note: if you do not enter an email address, the customer will not receive a reservation confirmation.

Then click "Submit data". The system will retrieve the current availability for the selected period. First, bicycles will be displayed, followed by accessories. You now need to select the correct bicycles and accessories by using the plus and minus buttons.

Next, you can choose an insurance policy, but only if applicable. In this example, we do not select insurance.

At the bottom, the total amount of the reservation is now displayed.

For users where a deposit is not calculated at all, the checkbox is automatically turned off. For users where a deposit is calculated, you can disable this by unchecking the blue checkbox. The deposit will then be removed.

After checking the total amount, click "Agree and go to Payment". The payment screen will open.

Select the correct payment method and then click "Paid".

Note: If you do not complete the payment correctly or leave the process at this point, the reservation will still be saved but will show an outstanding payment. This will become visible when issuing the bikes.

In this example, we select the "Cash" payment method and confirm the payment by clicking "Process".

The payment has been successfully completed. When we now click "To rental", the reservation page opens where all details are displayed again. The reservation has been created and is now available under the booking number in the partner environment.
